First stop Kuala Lumpur, next stop Bangkok

Most of the time, we will make a trip to Kuala Lumpur (also known as KL) in Malaysia whenever there’s a short holiday. Smarties’ cousins are staying there and we always make an effort to meet up and gather. As you know that Kuala Lumpur is the national capital of Malaysia as well as its largest city. There are loads of fun things to do and delectable food for us to indulge.

The first time that smarties been to Kidzania was in KL and they had an awesomely enjoyable time there. The staffs working there were very approachable and always carrying a bright smile on their face.

Although each session was short, they always spent some time to connect with the children and it was very heartwarming from a parent’s point of view.

Smarties love nature. The next fun place to be at was the Rabbit Fun Land in KL. Both the adults and children had a pleasant time exploring and feeding the animals. You may read more about the trip to Rabbit Fun Land here. If you are hungry or thirsty, they do serve yummy green bean soup too.

Talking about food, KL served awesome varieties of mouth-watering food as well. We love the street food and it was an eye-opener for smarties as we don’t see this in Singapore unless is at a carnival.

When night falls, we will always hunt for, not shopping malls, but the pasar malams. We were told that the pasar malam at Yulek was huge. Hence, we headed there to see it ourselves. There were many stalls featuring from food to clothing.

Compared to our local pasar malams, it is a huge difference. There is always something new and interesting for smarties to explore and learn. As for me, it always evoked the nostalgic memories of my childhood.

This coming holiday, we wanted to bring smarties to visit Bangkok. Bangkok is Thailand’s capital and it is a large city known for ornate shrines and vibrant street life. I always feel that Bangkok, although is a city, it is filled with cultural highlights that can be explored by many. One of them is the floating market which gives you an insight into a bygone way of life. It will be an awe-inspiring, especially for smarties.

Maeklong Railway Market is another place that we want to visit. It is a place where it has a train running through the middle of it several times a day and it only exists in Thailand! You can almost, or even close enough, to touch it! Of course, we will take extra care, especially when traveling with the little ones. Safety comes first!

Last but not least, the food! How can we forget about exploring their local delights?

Not forgetting exploring street food too. I was told they sell insects as snacks. I am going to check that out and show smarties. Maybe a challenge to see who dares to eat it. Haha!

I am already making plans for a trip with smarties and their cousins this year from Kuala Lumpur to Bangkok and we will be booking our flights from Kuala Lumpur to Bangkok as this is one of their most popular routes at affordable prices.
