Have you guys heard about the Alexandra Canal Linear Park? It is famous for having 5 playgrounds in a row! You heard me right, FIVE! Have been bringing the kids out to parks for jogs and they always complain that it’s boring. Well, now we’re at a park with 5 playgrounds. Let’s see if they get bored.
When we arrived, the first playground that greeted us is the Aural Playground. It has a big metal dishes, also known as ‘Parabolic Dishes’. It is used to hear your voice amplified. The kids explored a little with these metal dishes and moved on to play with the blue and red coloured “telephone tubes”.
They started taking turn to talk into the tubes and listened on the other end.
Next to the “telephone tubes” is a trampoline. The kids got excited with that and couldn’t stop jumping on it.
Do they look like flying in the air? If only I can record their action in slow motion and make a kid’s version matrix movie! LOL!
Getting tired with your legs? No worries, there’s a little gondola next to the trampoline for you to exercise your arms! The little one gets on her “boat” and the brother has to “row” the boat towards him. Bet you can tell, before the “boat” reached the other end, the brother gave up! “It’s too tiring!”, he shouted.
We scooted on to find another playground along the park and we found Climbing Rock playground. We don’t see any rocks though. But the kids had fun just climbing up and down these orange “stairs”. I suppose this is the “rock”.
The next playground looks kind of challenging for the little ones. The moment they saw it, they shouted:”Look! Spider web playground!” This is actually called the Rope Bridge Playground.
Both started their climbing journey onto the web. As they proceed….
you can see the little one disappeared. Because it freaked her out when one of her legs missed the step and she got stuck between the “holes”. The brother continued his adventure till the very end. Good job!
We never forget the water parade session for everyone whenever we are out especially for exercise. We took a break and had some water before we proceeded on.
Before we can continue to search for other playgrounds, it started to drizzle a little. But the kids were not disappointed as they had loads of fun hunting for playgrounds and got to play with it.
We couldn’t complete all the 5 playgrounds as we only managed to find 3. Don’t worry, we shall come back another day and find the other 2! Till then, we shall head home for a good nap!
