I had the opportunity of working with Lup Wai over her 30-day self-care challenge, and I’m someone who spends a lot of time focusing on self-care, but sometimes was not able to make this a priority in my own life. And each day, I found that connecting with her over WhatsApp, I had a predictable rhythm of knowing that I would put myself first, even if it was just a couple of minutes that day.
That made it doable for me. It made it feel like it wasn’t taking away from anything in my quite full life. As someone who works with others to make and prioritize good habits, I work as a mental health clinician. This is often something that’s neglected by practitioners themselves.
